  • Melissa Spicer Since I'm not from Stanton, I didn't know that the nearest Kroger store even existed until I found it by chance. I was really pleasantly surprised, however, to find this tiny little Kroger tucked away in Powell County. But don't let its small size fool you. They have a full selection of groceries and even have the famous Kroger deli. We now love to stop by Kroger and pick up some of the great deals that we ordinarily would miss out on because there is no regular Kroger store around. We also like to get our gas at Kroger, its a great place to fuel up and save big. From their Kroger brand canned goods, breads, and soda to their great meats and dishes in the deli section, anyone would love this store. I also like to stop in for a quick birthday cake when I'm too lazy to bake one myself! I'm glad out area has this small Kroger store. added 2009-11-29
  • Melissa Spicer Save a Lot has a lot of different stores in the surrounding areas, so I have been to most of them. The Stanton Save a Lot is a nice location to stop by, they are always clean and the staff is always friendly. I love shopping their produce section - and I like the meat section as well because you'll find a lot of good discounts on different cuts of meat. I have noticed that not all of their beef comes from the U.S. lately - in fact some of it says imported from Mexico, etc. I always take extra care to buy meat only packaged in the U.S. where I know that its USDA inspected. I also like Save a Lot's generic canned goods - they're an excellent value and just as good as the name brands. added 2009-11-29
